- Athens West Cleaners on the road between Mitchell Bridge and Atlanta Highway, phone 354-8160.
They are more expensive than other cleaners but worth it when you realize the cost of replacing
or repairing a damaged/poorly dry cleaned item.
I would go to Sunshine Cleaners on Chase St. (Take a right at the BP on
Prince, its across from Chase St. Elementary) I had a comforter cleaned
elsewhere, was disappointed, and then took it there. She got it cleaner
than the first place, during the second cleaning. I would imagine she's
great with clothing as well, as it always seems the racks are full...and
it can be a rather quick turn around.
I use New Way cleaners on Prince Ave. (just before you get to the Potters House).
I had a black and cream dress that I took elsewhere and it actually came back
dirtier than when it went in. I took it to New Way and it was perfect!
I would take your dress to New Way on Prince Avenue or the dry
cleaner that's on the road that cuts from Atlanta Highway to Mitchell
Bridge near Goodie's. I've heard from people who have taken things to
both of those and felt like they were honest in their assessment of
whether they could "fix" whatever was wrong and they did a good job
I recommend Professional Care Dry Cleaners on College Station Road in the
Kroger shopping Center. It is very good and has wonderful customer service.
…call and speak with Bill Kimenski or Sonia and they will be more than glad to help you.
- The only place I ever take my clothes to be dry-cleaned anymore is the New Way Cleaners
on the corner of Prince Ave and Barber St.. They have been in business forever, and always
return our clothes in great condition. I used to go to cleaners who were closer to me in
Bogart, but I got tired of clothes being returned with spots that were then impossible to
remove, or buttons missing, etc. In addition, I have a beautiful hand-stitched cross-stitch
large tablecloth and napkins that was my mother-in-law’s, and I only use it for special occasions.
I always take it to New Way after the holidays, and they do the tablecloth and the 12 napkins
for about $12. My mother use to pay $40 in Atlanta to have it laundered.
