(1)You can try: Athens Garage Door Systems, Dan Devereaux, 706-546-1518. He is honest and will do a great job.
(2)Dan is the VERY best! He put in ours 4 years ago and could not be happier. Also he will come back to service
it if you call him. He does not do the framing anymore. You will like Dan. He is a quiet person and quite a worker.
- Damon Wilbanks, of Jefferson. He is great. Recently we had to replace a torcion spring. Overhead door wanted to charge
us 150.00 per spring not even capped. This Mr. Wilbanks charged us 75.00 for one or 95.00 for two and they were capped.
He also, install garage door. Was orginally recommened by Power Building Products. My husband installed, this man is
very country and down to earth. He owns Double D Truss. 706-367-8500 or 706-367-5406

(1)Check out Overhead Door on the Jefferson Hwy. Several maint. experiences over the past 20 yrs. Might be a bit higher
than some others, but all experinces have been good. Recently let them install a new insulated metal door. Very satisfied
with quality of door and installation.
(2) After backing out of our carport with the garage door down, we had to have a new one installed. We called Overhead
Door Company on the Jefferson Road and someone came out the next day to give us an estimate. I have the man's name at
home on our paperwork, but he was extremely nice, explained the ordering & installation process and we are extremely
pleased with the outcome. He had a brochure illustrating the different door panels, window choices, and colors that
are available. The door is aluminum which makes it easier to lift in case the electricity goes off. You can order
different levels of insulation in the door in case you had an animal that stayed inside the garage and wanted it to
stay warmer during the winter - we went with the mid-level insulation. We used this company back in the 80's, so they
have been in business for quite a while and we don't have any negative comments about their work.
(3)Which Overhead Garage Door business are you using? I do not like the one in Athens (if they are still in business).
They put in our door when we were building our house. Well, before the warranty was up, lighting struck near the garage and
blew out some part or another. Anyway, we called them and told them what had happened and they said they would send someone
out to fix it because it was still under warranty. The guy comes to our house, tells us what part it needs, then proceeds
to tell us that nothing is covered because it was hit by lightening. So we had to pay for labor and the part. I was furious
and called the owner. I told him I don't mind paying for the part, but he needs to refund the labor charge since I had
clearly told him what had happened on the phone. I told him that if he had just told me it wasn't covered in the first place,
[we] could have come to their store and bought the damn part. [T]he owner didn't seem to care too much about satisfying his
customers and he basically said he didn't care. Next time I needed work done on my door, I called the Overhead Door company
in Gainesville. They were much nicer.
