Where to go for Oil Change

  • I highly recommend Cook Motor Company in Crawford. My husband works there. : Just ask for Don.
  • Try Five Star Auto - on 441 across from bowling alley. Great folks!
  • I've used Rapid Lube on Lexington Rd for years and never had any problems with them.
  • I always take mine to Tires Plus on Epps Bridge Parkway. Really good people at that store! I recently took my car to the BP station on the corner at Beachwood. They did it in about an hour, cost about $37 I think it was.
  • I used the place across from WalMart on the east side last and was very happy. It is affordable and they have great service and a comfortable place to wait. Also the price of the oil change includes a basic wash/vacuum. I highly recommend Hawthorne Automotive on Hawthorne Avenue. Randy Butler, the owner, is wonderful and extremely knowledgeable! I have been using them for 15 years, and have never had bad service. Their number is (706) 548-4943.
  • I love the guys at Tires Plus on College Station.
  • I do not remember the name - because it has changed hands often- but I have GREAT experience at the place near McAlisters Deli on the Atlanta HWY, it is behind the car wash.
  • The place across Atlanta Hwy from the Hilltop Grille is also good, according to folks who go there regularly.
  • I've used Rapid Lube on Lexington Hwy (not too far past Lowes, way before you get to WalMart). They were recommended by a friend that works with me. I've been several times & have always been happy with their service. My friend said they were reliable and honest.
  • I've had good luck through the years with the Dillard family (Dad and three sons) at Five Star Automotive on Macon Hwy near S. Lumpkin There's an Athens Transit bus stop directly across the street from the shop, which makes it easy to get to and from campus once you drop your car off. Their phone number is 706-353-0059.
  • My husband and I use Sears. They do a good job and are not too expensive. They're also open early. We also get our tires there and they rotate the tires for free. Good luck.
