I'd say stay away from David Jarrett. In my opinion he's arrogant.
My husband used to see Dr Jarrett and his experience was that Dr Jarrett would stack his appointments and he was only
able to see the doctor for 5 minutes per visit. He would always rush him in and out of the office. If you are
looking for someone who will take time to listen to your concerns, then Dr Jarrett may not be your best choice.
I have had fibromyalgia for a long time and many years ago some doctors thought the symptoms were all in your head
(some dr.'s still do to this day - very aggravating). Anyway, I was told to see a psychiatrist at the time. I
saw two - both were terrible experiences. I saw David Jarrett and he was a jerk and kept nodding off during my
appointment. He prescribed me meds (which I never took) for the fibro and I never saw him again. I am sorry,
but I can't think of the other dr. He was even worst. At the time he was located in the office park off of
Sunset Drive. I don't recognize his name on the list, but he was sure all my problems could be cured with
antidepressents (of which I found out that I am highly allergic to the SSRIs) and he told me he would not see
me again unless I stopped my anxiety med and sleep med (important meds for people with fibro).
I recommend Dr. Steven Hines. The best!!!!!!!! He has a new office only a mile from UGA on S. Milledge by Clarke Central.
My mom used Steven Hines and I went with her a few times. I really liked him a lot and he is very caring and concerned.
I think you will like him. My mom is doing much better but still sees him every few months. She seemed a little out
of sorts on one of her recent visits, so after she left he picked up the phone and called me to see if I knew what
was going on with her at that time. I was really impressed with that.
I used to go to McLemore but when I switched to HMO, I had to find a new one. I went to Hines and he was very nice and
his receptionist was very helpful and the good thing is...he is not booked for 3 months like most of the others are.
