Roofers

2011
  • If anyone is looking for a roofer, contact me off list, I have a great recommendation! -- Northeast Georgia Quality Roofs, LLC - 706-363-0446. good price, excellent service - delivered EXACTLY as promised.
  • I highly recommend M&C Roofing: http://www.mcroofing.com/ I dealt directly with Mark - he was great to work with. They replaced my roof due to some sleet damage. Quality work and they finished within one day (granted, I do have a small roof, but still :) ).
  • In May 2011 Athens Roofing (Chris Lutz) was hired to do an asphalt shingle job on a single story ranch home. It was a disaster. He subcontracted the job to Roof Tech LLC (David Fairbanks) so Chris did not do the work himself. He did try to correct some of the problems created by David Fairbanks' work but it's still not right. Christian Roofing was hired to inspect the roof and recommend repairs. There are buckled shingles, overshot (angled) nails, improperly installed vent boots, and missing sealant on the caps. In the attic the ridge line of the house has been permanently damaged by Athens Roofing's vent installation-the entire length of the house has pieces of the ridge broken and busted off. It is a nightmare, especially considering the problems with the exterior work as well. DO NOT HIRE ATHENS ROOFING or ROOF TECH LLC for your asphalt shingle roof job.

  • Stewart Dove's Sons Roofing Co. These guys are GREAT. Good prices and work fast.
  • I highly recommend Eddie Lunceford with Nesha's Seamless Gutters, his work is excellent
and the prices are reasonable. Call/text him at 706-340-6099; he does free estimate
and has before/after pictures of his work too.
  • We had our roof replaced in October by Wayne St. Pierre (St. Pierre Roofing and were very
pleased after getting several estimates and talking to multiple people with recent roof
jobs. It is a small roofing company (Madison County) and the owner is involved and on-site
every day. He has a small crew, doesn't use subcontractors like many of the larger roofing
companies, and hand-nails his roofs, a feature my husband wanted. Consequently, the company
is not as fast as many of the larger companies, but we didn't have a problem with waiting.
We have a very steep, complex roof line and feel that he did an excellent job at a reasonable
price. We used the GAF 20-year architectural shingles.
  • We had a very good experience with Chris Lutz, Athens Roofing -
706-338-0472. He was the only one who told us to contact our insurance
company when he gave us a quote - he had noticed some storm damage. We
did, and the insurance paid for half of our new roof, even though the
old roof was 22 years old! His crew was quick and professional - on
time, and we didn't find any roofing nails in our yard or anything
    after they were done.
3-09:
  • We just had our roof replaced and used St. Pierre Roofing, 706-988-8381. Wayne is the owner
and very eager to please his customers. He and his crew did an excellent job and did
exactly what they promised. I have the highest praise for this company.
  • Bone Dry Roofing has a great reputation…don't know if they are the cheapest, but they definitely know t
    heir stuff.
  • Not that I'm biased, but my husband is an excellent roofer; he has spent the last several years as project
manager for a large roofing company, and has years of experience in shingles, metal, tile and slate.
He is on his own, now, and I'm sure he'd be happy to talk to you. His name is Dar Schattler, and his
cell phone is 770-851-0880. He has had many happy clients so far!
  • We were very happy with the work done by Guaranteed Roofing (Craig -- works alone, 706-546-8817). We had a
problem with leaking around our dormer windows -- we had to lay new flashing, replace shingles and repair
some of the decking. Two other people had "repaired" it previously. The way Craig explained the problem
to me, I have confidence that he did the job correctly. A local builder told me this guy is not the cheapest,
but he *did* keep right on his estimate, was prompt and did a good job tidying up afterwards, and did an
excellent job matching the color of our shingles (which are more than 7 years old).
